Is Thursday!
The Vernal Equinox is finally here!
Spring has sprung but do you know why? Here's the 411 on the Spring Equinox.
What Is It?
Spring Equinox, also called the Vernal Equinox, is the first day of spring. On this day, which falls on March 20th, 2008, there are exactly 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. From this day on, the sun will continue to climb higher in the sky in the Northern Hemisphere, inching towards summer, and will sink lower in the sky in the Southern Hemisphere, inching towards winter.
So what makes you think of spring?
What is it that represents spring ion your opinion?
When you hear it's the first day of spring, what um uh "springs" into your mind?
Is it baseball? Triple Crown Season? Greening of the trees and the grass? Flowers blooming? The first sight of miniskirts and shorter shorts (oh wait, that was mine )
The putting away of the winter duds (might not want to do that just yet) Spring veggies? Dining Alfresco? Picnics? Switching from reds to whites in the wine department? Outdoor activities and shows? Trips to the park? Bike riding? March madness? Easter? Passover? The sound of both flips and flops? (still a little ways off on that, but it's a spring/summer thing?) Short sleeves, tank tops? Windows open at home and in the car? Just kinda kicking back with something cold watching the sun set?
What is it that you think of when you think of spring?
Just wondering.

I dig oranges!
In fact, I think I'll have some orange squeezins with breakfast this morning.
